Sopranos Star Checks In With Morning Rat Race
Michael Imperioli (Christopher Moltisanti)
Man, I could talk Sopranos for hours with this guy.
Michael Imperioli played the role of Christopher Moltisanti, a major character in the hit HBO series, “The Sopranos”. The character was on the inside crew of Tony Soprano. Ahead of an appearance at The Count Basie Center For The Arts’ Hackensack Meridian Heath Theater Imperioli called in to talk about the amazing HBO television show.
Michael has done shows like he’s doing at The Basie all over the world but he readily admits that New Jersey is the absolute mecca of Sopranos lore. Being based here in New Jersey, local fans of The Sopranos have more interest and more passion than fans anywhere else.
“What did you learn from Jimmy Gandolfini?”
“What was your favorite mob hit in the show?”
“What did you think of the controversial ending of the show?”
And he addressed what it was like to approach David Chase about actually writing episodes for “The Sopranos”.
Listen to the interview in 4 parts:
Michael Imperoli appears in Red Bank with other members of hit show for “In Conversation with The Sopranos“. The presentation is in a question and answer format with comedian Joey Kola providing the comic relief. Also appearing at the event are Steve Schirripa who played the role of Bobby Bacala (“I think it’s seriously time for you to start considering salads”), and Vincent Pastore who played Big Pussy Bompensiero.
The event is Saturday, September 10th. Kola will begin the QnA but the audience will be able to ask their own questions of the three stars.
So, have at it Rat-Rock-Nation… And it’s gravy. Not sauce.
