Shore Awards Check In: Amendment 21- Best Beer List
As the Rat celebrates another successful year of The Shore Awards I was tasked with going to deliver the good news to one of this year’s recipients. This was an easy “Hell yes!” for me as it was none of my favorite little gems of a bar in Point Pleasant. Amendment 21 was this year’s Shore Award winner for Best Beer List.
I mentioned free lunch and the promise of a cold beer or two to my buddy Minister and he was more than ready to join me. We had a wonderful lunch and met Adrienne, who was working the bar and is co-owner of the bar.
The beer list is very extensive and it changes fairly regularly. In fact, the beer menu displays on your phone when you scan the QR code. I had a pint of Last Wave Hazy IPA from the local Point Pleasant brewery Last Wave. Minister had wheat ale that he quite enjoyed as well. It’s easy to see why Amendment 21 won this year. They cater to craft beer drinkers and folks that like quality cocktails. It’s all in the name after all. A cool little bar that offers an extensive and changing beer list is always a “go-to” spot in my mind, but when the bar is as cool and welcoming as Amendment 21 it makes it all the better!
