Celebrating The 30th Anniversary Of NIRVANA’s ‘Nevermind’
It really is insane how time flies. But there are so many amazing albums that came out THIRTY years ago…and today we’re taking a look at one of them. Nirvana‘s legendary Nevermind was released in 1991 (in September)…and the world of rock would be forever changed.
It was a time where rock music had gotten a little stale…and needed a pick-me-up. I, myself, was 13…going on 14…in 1991. And I was yearning for something new…something fresh.
That’s when I started seeing music videos of this relatively unknown band Nirvana on MTV’s Headbanger’s Ball…and I was immediately hooked. The songs were electric…the energy was palpable.
I became an instant fan of Nirvana…and a subsequent fan of all of the Seattle bands as a result. Nevermind went on to sell over 30 million albums…and it has to be one of the greatest sophomore efforts in rock history. Check out some videos and whatnot from this epic record below!
