The state is announcing a new program to help young people with mental health issues, a big issue for teenagers living through the pandemic. The Murphy administration is creating the New Jersey Statewide Student Support Services network. The states Department of Children and Families will operate the network that aims to launch for the 2023-24 school year. Roughly 15-million-dollars in federal American Rescue Plan funds are being used to fund the initiative.
New Jersey Transit is debuted its first ever battery electric bus in Camden yesterday. It will begin carrying passengers on October 24th. NJ Transit says there will be seven more electric NJ transit buses operating in the Camden metro area over the next several months. Reportedly, the goal for NJ Transit is to have a completely zero emission fleet of buses by year 2040.
Garden State Parkway was overcharging drivers at an EZPASS location. You may be entitled to a refund if you drove through the Great Egg plaza in Somers Point between Sept. 20 and Sept. 29 because some cars were charged as trucks. The Turnpike Authority says they’ll adjust accounts automatically.
