Best High School In New Jersey Is In Monmouth County
According to the latest rankings of the best high schools in America, the High Technology High School in Lincroft is representing as the number one ranked high school in all of New Jersey. The best high school in New Jersey is in Monmouth County. According to the rankings by US News and World Report there are 8 New Jersey high schools among the top 100 in the nation.
While we’ve covered interesting rankings and surveys for other less important titles like “Best Roadside Attraction“, being considered the top high school in the state is a great honor. Preparing young people for their future in an ever changing economy is the most important task in a civilized society.
How The Best High School In New Jersey Was Judged
The report that ranked the High Technology High School in Lincroft as the best high school in New Jersey based their ratings on many factors including graduation rate, reading proficiency, math proficiency, and taking and passing at least one AP exam. Basically, they aim to rank high schools on how they prepare students to move on to college.
Students at High Tech in Lincroft got really, really high test scores. Kudos to the teachers and students for scoring 100% on math and reading. They scored 93 on science. The rest of the state did received an embarrassing 40% on math, 50% on reading and an absolutely dismal 30% on science.
The report the ranked the best high school in New Jersey gave high marks to students at High Tech for college preparedness, as well. Students were in the 100% percentile nationally on college-level exams.
According to the school website, in 2023 100% of graduates moved on to college.
Other Highly Rated High Schools That Are Local
The yearly national ranking of American high schools includes 7 other schools in the top 100. Among those are the Edison Academy Magnet School, Middlesex Academy for Allied Health, Bergen County Academies, and Biotechnology High School. Biotech, which ranked 5th in the state and 72nd in the nation is also located in Monmouth County; in Freehold.
