Rick And Morty Fans Are Trying To Make Their Own Szechuan Sauce
If you are a Rick and Morty fan, then you understand the importance of Szechuan sauce. For those who are unaware, one of the episodes on the third season of the show reveals Rick’s obsession with the limited-edition sauce. Well, someone at McDonald’s saw the episode and began toying with the idea of bringing it back.
They sent two tubs of the magical dip to the show’s creators but did not fully rerelease the product back in the chain. Fans were in a frenzy trying to get their hands on the sauce and, in some locations, McDonald’s received only a handful of packets. Unfortunately, fans were upset with the limited numbers and started to yell outside of the doors of the fast food location.

Other Rick and Morty fans decided to get creative with the Szechuan obsession. As Polygon reports “multiple eBay sellers are offering framed photos of the McDonald’s Szechuan sauce packet.” One seller, who goes by the name of “kevigmh_thjqe” has currently sold over twenty different framed photos for $9.99. In the photo, which is printed on printer paper, the original sauce is laying on the floor. Think of it as a headshot, a delicious headshot.

This is not the only move Rick and Morty fans have done to try to get Szechuan in their lives. People have figured out how to make your own homemade Szechuan sauce. Looking at the recipe, it does not look too hard to make. All you need is water, white vinegar, white sugar, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, sesame oil, garlic powder, onion powder, ground ginger, marmite, corn syrup, black pepper, corn starch, and xanthan gum.

Granted, there are a few other steps mixed in there, but it is totally doable! Now, all you have to do is pick up some chicken nuggets and you will be on your way to Szechuan heaven.
