Oh my, wrestling fans! Business just picked up! Controversial wrestling megastar CM Punk has returned to the WWE after nine years! Punk made his comeback at Survivor Series: War Games on Saturday in Chicago to an insane reception. The place went absolutely bonkers.
Punk walked out of the WWE in 2014 due to his unhappiness with the company and he seemed to be leaving wrestling for good. In 2021, however, Punk returned to professional wrestling when he began working for WWE’s number one competitor AEW. But in AEW, Punk courted infamy as well. He got into a fight with the tag team the Young Bucks and later got into a physical altercation with a wrestler named “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry. Punk was ultimately fired from AEW amid the controversy.
Personally speaking…this is a HUGE win for the WWE. They have acquired a major name and consistent headline-maker…while taking away from their competitor. Triple H deserves the credit on this one…since taking over for Vince McMahon…Triple H has led the WWE to one massive success after another. The ratings are up…the attendances are up…the business is way up. The WWE is back to being the WWE it looks like. That’s a good thing for wrestling fans.
By the way…not for nothing…but the RAT’s wrestling podcast…The East Side Dave and Son Wrestling Show…predicted Punk’s return (and more) to a tee! Listen to the nationally-syndicated program with THIS LINK! And scroll down for the video of Punk’s return! BOOM!
