For A $50 Donation You Can Name A Cat After Your Ex And Have It Neutered
A New Jersey animal shelter will let you name a feral cat after your ex and then neuter it. Chop! Chop!
Some guys might get a little uncomfortable with this No Sweat News Story. There’s an animal shelter in Gloucester Township called Homeward Bound Pet Adoption. They are doing a fundraiser that will let you name a feral cat after your ex and then neuter it. It’s a Valentine’s Day promotion. Yep, they’ll chop off the “boys” after naming it after you. Eeeek!
It’s a “snip snip” city for the male feral cats in Gloucester Township! It seems that jilted women are lining up to be amongst the first people have their ex’s nuts chopped off. According to the post on the adoption agency’s social media page, ‘Because Some Things Shouldn’t Breed”.
Scrolling some of the comments we find a healthy dose of all out man-hate: “Just take my money!” “I’d be broke!” “That’s cute!” “I love this, payday is Friday!” and, “Clever and adorable idea!”
So, gents is the idea of your ex wanting to hack yer nuts off, “clever and adorable”?
Now, before we go off all half-cocked (pun intended, lol), please note that they’ll spay a female feral cat in your ex’s name as well. But the marketing of the whole thing goes a bit further if they focus on the male anatomy instead of the lady parts.
Funny how 99.9% of the comments on their social media are all from women!
To their credit, this animal shelter does point out that this promotion is not gender specific. More importantly, they also know that controlling the feral cat population is in everyone’s best interest (with the possible exception of the local fox population who likely consider stray cats a delicacy.) The “name a feral cat after your ex and then neuter it” promotion comes at a time of year when lots of animal shelters use “romance revenge” as a potent inspiration for fundraising. We’ve covered other instances of this in the past. Like, for example, the shelter that names a mouse after your ex and feeds it to a snake. Or the other shelter that will name a roach after your ex.
Love is in the air!

I thought about my personal favorites, and the favorites of my friends, co-workers, foodie lovers, and neighbors.
I usually do Valentine’s Day at home if it falls on a weekday. I’m not really big into exchanging V Day gifts and cards, but I am definitely into romance.
If you have someone special to share your life with, you shouldn’t celebrate just one day out of the year.
I know quite a few people who are planning to take their beloved out on or near February 14th to enjoy an extra special date night.
I like places where you can have a conversation with little to no distraction. I don’t mind a little background chatter or background music.
Personally, I like places that are quaint, as well as places that take you back in time with specific old world period décor.
Everyone needs a little romance and time away from the kids.
I really did my best to come up with a short list of restaurants with the assistance of friends, foodie pages on social media, and my personal suggestions for places that offer great food, great service, and some ambience.
In some cases, where you eat is less important than who you are dining with.
There are a several of restaurants that meet my criteria. It’s more than a handful, but enough for all of us to keep in rotation for at least a year before more new restaurants pop up.
If you’re on the hunt for a romantic eatery this Valentine’s Day, this list might be just what you need.
Let’s take a look at 7 restaurants in Ocean County that would make your Valentine’s Day Extra Special.
When Carl is not working at the greatest rock radio station known to mankind; a station known around the globe; a station that has the best music, co-workers, advertisers and most importantly THE BEST F'N LISTENERS you may find me doing any one of the following: Riding or making mountain bike trails. playing with his kids. playing sand volleyball on 5th Ave, cooking amazing food, including on his sweet smoker grill, going to concerts, swimming in the ocean, going to amusement parks with his kids, and other stuff that rocks!
