Good morning, sports fans! Davey Mac here with a full-sized Sports Report for ya! All kinds of scores from the worlds of football, baseball, basketball, and hockey! But first!
The New York Giants have traded Pro Bowl defensive lineman Leonard Williams to the Seattle Seahawks. The Giants are getting a 2024 second-round pick and a 2025 fifth-round selection in return…and they’ll also save money. Looks like the G-Men may be waving the white flag on the season following that awful loss to the Jets.

So, are the Giants giving up on this season? They currently stand at 2 and 6 and have simply not looked like the same team from last year (in which they made the postseason and won a playoff game on the road in Minnesota). Head coach Brian Daboll has struggled this season and the breaks have not been with the team.

For general manager Joe Schoen to trade Leonard Williams seems to indicate that the G-Men believe this season is pretty much over. One has to wonder: does Schoen have any other deals in the works?

The Giants’ best all-around player, Saquon Barkley, has said that he does NOT want to be traded from the team…and that he would like to remain a Giants for his entire career. Still…it’s not up to him.

And what about Daniel Jones? I mean…if the Giants really wanted to make a splash…they could trade Jones to a team that is playing well but in need for a quarterback…like the Jets!

The future is very uncertain for the Giants organization. One thing is for sure…I miss Eli Manning. I really do. I’m Davey Mac…now on to the Scoreboard!
