Scary Rotten Farms In Brick, New Jersey Is Closed For 2023 Halloween Season
Brick, New Jersey. Scary Rotten Farms is closed for the 2023 Halloween season.
This Halloween season is going to be less scary because Scary Rotten Farms is closed the 2023 season. The popular Halloween attraction usually operates on the weekends leading up to Halloween at the location of Berry Fresh Farms on Brick Boulevard. Since Berry Fresh Farms is closed, you can’t be too surprised that Scary Rotten Farms is closed too.
An announcement on their website states: “Scary Rotten Farms will be closed the 2023 Haunt Season as we relocate for the ’24… Bigger scarier and Bloodier!!!”
The Scary Rotten Farms was a real Halloween scare for the Jersey Shore. They wouldn’t let young people in there if they weren’t accompanied by an adult. The cut off age was 14.
They had a number of cool set ups. One was based on a fun story line centering around a character named Jacob Sneed. Sneed turned into a sinister character after making a deal with the devil and thus, a creepy carnival was born. Another fun creepy part was their fairy tale area where they put a scary twist on your favorite childhood stories.
Friends and family looked forward to Scary Rotten Farms every year. But, young and old alike always looked forward to contributing to the horror show by working at the event. There was a cool mix of people both scaring and being scared at Scary Rotten Farms.
Word spread pretty far about this Halloween attraction, even getting a few Youtubers to pop over:
The Scary Rotten Farms sizzle reel is quite demented as well:
With a starting price of $18, this Halloween attraction is one of the more price friendly on the Jersey Shore.
It seemed like all of Ocean County would pay a visit to Scary Rotten Farms at some point over the Halloween season. They even were part of the Billboard Radiothon for Ocean of Love. So we’re all hoping that they find a new location for 2024 and they bring back the Halloween fun for all. In the meantime, we’ll have to find other ways to scare ourselves silly this Halloween season.
7 Wicked Good Halloween Events To Hit This Spooky Season
Hell yeah, it’s Halloween Season at The Jersey Shore! That means fun decorations, costume parties, haunted houses and hayrides. I’m talkin’ Halloween events for everyone on the Jersey Shore in Monmouth and Ocean Counties!
WRAT’s annual costume party will be going down on October 28th. The party starts at 8pm at Martell’s on the boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach! We’ll have a great time with live music from Big Bang Baby, a live DJ between sets, and a free buffet. Plus don’t forget that cash prizes for the costume contest! It’s always a great time so stay tuned for your chance to win free passes!
Some of these Halloween events on the Jersey Shore are way too scary for kids because the employees specifically want to scare the you-know-what out of you. They take scaring you as a point of pride, so beware! Anything like that and I’ll mention that it’s not for kids. But, lots of these Halloween events are perfect for everyone.
I’ve left off the trunk-or-treat events and most of the farmers market type places that just toss some pumpkins in a field and call it, “Pick Your Own Pumpkin”. Those things are cool but, for me, they’re just ways for those places to jump on the Halloween bandwagon. All of these joints put some real effort into Halloween events on the Jersey Shore; they get us psyched up into the Halloween spirit!
So, get your ghoul on. Take a shot of courage and venture, if you dare, into the Halloween season. Get into the night and see if you can make it back alive! There’s no telling what creatures may be hiding!
Halloween is our favorite holiday because there’s parties, you get to get dressed up, you don’t have to buy tons of presents for everyone and you don’t have to cook for everyone in your family!
The only question left is: How many of these will you hit this spooky season?!
When Carl is not working at the greatest rock radio station known to mankind; a station known around the globe; a station that has the best music, co-workers, advertisers and most importantly THE BEST F'N LISTENERS you may find me doing any one of the following: Riding or making mountain bike trails. playing with his kids. playing sand volleyball on 5th Ave, cooking amazing food, including on his sweet smoker grill, going to concerts, swimming in the ocean, going to amusement parks with his kids, and other stuff that rocks!
