2021 Belmar St. Patrick’s Day Parade Canceled
The 2021 Belmar St. Patrick’s Day Parade has officially been canceled.
This will be the first time in almost 50 years that the celebrations in Belmar will not take place.
It has become one of the largest gatherings for Jersey Shore residents with tens of thousands of people in attendance each year.
A Facebook post by the official Belmar Lake Como St. Patrick’s Day Parade stated:
“Unfortunately but not surprisingly, the 2021 parade cannot be held due to COVID-19. The parade committee is exploring options for other types of celebrations this season so stay tuned for updates. Thank you as always for your support.”
The founder of the Belmar St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Jerry Lynch, died at the age of 91 back in April due to coronavirus complications.
