Point Pleasant Boro Teacher Honored With Presidential Award
Jennifer Fitzgerald of Manasquan is now the recipient of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST).
Fitzgerald is only one of two New Jersey educators to be selected for this honor in 2020. She currently teaches Algebra I at Memorial Middle School in Point Pleasant Boro.
“It is truly an honor to be recognized with the Presidential Award. It motivates me to keep learning and growing in order to continue to provide my students with innovative and dynamic learning opportunities,” Fitzgerald told the Point Pleasant Patch.
Established in 1983, PAEMST is the highest award given by the U.S. Government to kindergarten through 12th-grade teachers of mathematics and science.
We are thrilled to announce the recipients of the Presidential Excellence Awards in science, math, and engineering. 🎉
