‘Sonic The Hedgehog’: Official Trailer Released
“Every hero has a genesis.” Oh, we see what you did there, Paramount Pictures!
The official trailer for the Sonic The Hedgehog movie just dropped, and it’s taking the iconic video game character to a whole new level.
Per Paramount Pictures, “The film follows the (mis)adventures of Sonic (voiced by Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz) as he navigates the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound – human – best friend Tom Wachowski (James Marsden). Sonic and Tom join forces to try and stop the villainous Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) from capturing Sonic and using his immense powers for world domination.”
Carrey’s performance clearly looks to be a major return to his ’90s comedy form. And who knew he could pull off that crazy Dr. Robotnik mustache so well?!
And warning: Be prepared to have “Gangsta’s Paradise” stuck in your head for the rest of the day.
Sonic The Hedgehog opens in theaters in November.
