Henry Cavill ‘Superman’ News May Be Fake, Now Ben Affleck May Be Out
Yesterday, Henry Cavill shared a video with his ‘Superman’ doll and Krypton Lifting Team tee, showing he’s not letting go of Clark Kent just yet.
However, now the news shifts of Ben Affleck leaving behind the role of Batman. Affleck, who’s been going to rehab for his addiction issues, may be departing in the Batman role, and some are already fantasy casting Jon Hamm, who says he could probably fit the suit. “It depends on the script, what the story is,” Consequence of Sound quotes him saying. “I am a huge comic book fan, always have been. I have read comic books since I was nine or younger. And I am pretty knowledgeable about a lot of them. And I like the genre, and I like when they are done well.”

According to Deadline, Warner Bros. is considering Michael B. Jordan to play Superman at some point, to much uproar of people saying that MBJ isn’t white, so he can’t play ‘Superman,’ which honestly, that’s extremely closed-minded. Though if Cavill is holding on to try and exercise his contract, we may not have to have this argument.
Either way, I guess the best way you can describe any of these headlines is this: The DC Universe is falling fast. Where’s Superman when you need him?
