Good morning, gang!   It’s Davey Mac here and we’ve got an extra big Sports Report for ya today…but first…breaking news!

Kyrie Irving will NOT be playing tonight in the Brooklyn Nets game against the Washington Wizards because Irving has been suspended by the Nets for at least five games for promoting a film containing anti-Semitic sentiments.

The Nets do not feel like Irving’s apology…or lack thereof…was sufficient.

Chicago Bulls v Brooklyn Nets

Here’s the statement from the Nets: “Such failure to disavow antisemitism when given a clear opportunity to do so is deeply disturbing, is against the values of our organization, and constitutes conduct detrimental to the team. Accordingly, we are of the view that he is currently unfit to be associated with the Brooklyn Nets.”

Wow.   What has happened to Kyrie?   It’s still incredible to me that Kevin Durant left the paradise which was winning NBA titles with Steph Curry and the Warriors to come to this.   Insane.

Indiana Pacers v Brooklyn Nets

Let’s also not forget that the word on the street is that former Net (now 76’er) James Harden wanted to be traded off the Nets because of Kyrie’s awful behavior.   This would make Harden just the latest superstar to not get along with Kyrie?   Remember LeBron’s strained relationship with Kyrie on the Cavs?  I do!

Miami Heat v Brooklyn Nets

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – JANUARY 23: James Harden #13 of the Brooklyn Nets takes the ball as Kyrie Irving #11 runs behind him in the second half against the Miami Heat at Barclays Center on January 23, 2021 in New York City.NOTE TO USER: User expressly acknowledges and agrees that, by downloading and or using this photograph, User is consenting to the terms and conditions of the Getty Images License Agreement. All in all…Kyrie’s entire career is disintegrating right in front of his eyes because of poor, uneducated choices.   The Nets were right to suspend him.   Heck, maybe they should just cut ties with Kyrie altogether.   Let him be someone else’s problem.   I’m Davey Mac…that’s my two cents.

Dallas Mavericks v Brooklyn Nets

The Mavericks won 129-125.
