Good morning, Sports fans! It’s your boy Davey Mac and we have a pretty big Sports Report for ya! Aaron Boone hits a milestone! New interesting NBA rule! And more! But first!
EAST RUTHERFORD, NEW JERSEY – SEPTEMBER 11: Quarterback Aaron Rodgers #8 of the New York Jets is helped off the field after an injury during the first quarter of the NFL game against the Buffalo Bills at MetLife Stadium on September 11, 2023 in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The Jets got the news that they were dreading yesterday…superstar quarterback and future Hall Of Famer Aaron Rodgers did in fact tear his Achilles and Rodgers will miss the rest of the season. Devastating news. Jets head coach Robert Saleh spoke to reporters and said: “I don’t know why people are trying to put an obituary under our team name.” So Saleh believes the Jets can still make the playoffs.

Meanwhile, many in the media are clamoring for the Jets to reach out to legendary QB Tom Brady. Other outlets are saying that the Jets are speaking to multiple, free agent, veteran quarterbacks. And yet…with all that said…Robert Saleh says that Zach Wilson is officially the Jets QB1. Wow. Insane!

So, what do you think? Should the Jets pursue Brady? Or stick with Wilson? Or get someone else? Don’t forget: Carson Wentz, Cam Newton, Jameis Winston, Colt McCoy, and more are available. But then again…only Tom Brady is Tom Brady.
A SEVEN-TIME Super Bowl champion. Let me say that again…Tom Brady has won SEVEN damn championships. Insane. Without question…he’s the greatest quarterback (if not an NFL player) ever. Period.

So what will the Jets do? I don’t know…but it should be interesting. The Jets have a top-tier defense that is truly Super Bowl-worthy. They have one of the best running back combo’s in the league between Breece Hall and Dalvin Cook. They have an amazing wide receiver in Garrett Wilson. They are not done. But their next move could define their season. It will fascinating to watch. I’m Davey Mac…that’s my two cents!
