New Poll: New Jersey #2 For Grumpiest Coworkers In The Whole Country
Grumpy Cat approves of the study that showed New Jersey has the 2nd grumpiest coworkers in the entire country.
Your whiny, complaining, pain-in-the-you-know-what coworkers are the subject of a new poll that just came out. The poll says that New Jersey has the 2nd grumpiest coworkers in the country. That’s right! We’re number two for grumpy co-workers. You’re not telling me you’re surprised are you? Phhhuuuullllease!
Bitching and moaning at the office is New Jersey’s favorite workday past time. One of my favorite co-workers of all time has a saying, “If you’re not bitchin’ you ain’t livin’!”
This poll was conducted by a gambling website. They studied internet search results. They looked deep into what states were searching things like “quiet quitting”, “coasting at work”, “bare minimum Monday” and “resignation letter”. The results were that New Jersey turned up as the state with the 2nd grumpiest coworkers in the whole country.
No wonder some of us are so damn miserable at our jobs. Our places of employment are bitch factories.

The top ten list for grumpiest coworkers. reveals NJ is 2nd grumpiest coworkers.
Only Colorado topped New Jersey when it comes to grumpy coworkers.
More on the grumpiest coworker study
The study didn’t just look at the searches I mentioned above. The website also looked up how often people across every state used the internet to search terms like, “rage applying” and “excuses to get out of work”.
Maybe I’m a newbie at all this but I don’t even know what, “rage applying” is. If I had to guess that must be when you’re so pissed off at your current job that you apply for any and every other job you see listed on Linked In.
According to the note that the website sent me the research for this poll was conducted by getting the Google trends scores for each term in each state. They calculated a total average score for each state. The research was done on 10/25/23.
I would like to think that in the summer months we’re a little bit happier than we are in late October thanks to all the fun stuff to do on the Jersey Shore. Or maybe we just need to chill out more after we leave our grumpy coworkers. Maybe a night out will help. But until next summer we’ll be ranked 2nd grumpiest coworkers in the whole country.
Maybe part of the reason we’re so grumpy at work is the fact that we work all day and still can barely afford the state’s real estate prices:
The 10 New Jersey Towns With The Most Expensive Homes In The State
If you’re a homeowner, all you have to do is Zillow yourself. You know, go onto the Zillow app and type in your address. Then be prepared to me utterly shocked at how much Zillow tells you your home is worth! Now as we all know, what an app says and what you actually wind up selling your house for can be to very, very different things entirely.
Real Estate prices in NJ are on fire.
Meanwhile, if this list shows us anything, it’s that all over the state there are communities and neighborhoods with homes that are far exceeding anyone’s reasonable imagination, when it comes to real estate here in New Jersey. Anyone that is, except the most savvy real estate agent or speculator. Home prices here in the Garden State have exploded since the Pandemic. However there is a catch.
It’s getting harder to get that home.
With inflation not budging, and interest rates constantly on the rise, it’s getting increasingly difficult for folks to not only shed their current home, but get a mortgage they can afford for a new one. Furthermore, while no one on this list may be crying poverty, folks not being able to buy their first home is a real issue here in New Jersey, as well as across the country. Moreover, the average interest rate for a 30 year fixed rate mortgage is around 7.7 percent. That’s high compared to just 10 years ago. In fact it’s up roughly a full percentage point in the last 3 months.
Couple that with the high tax rate in New Jersey, and you can see the cold hard truth. The towns on this list may have the most expensive homes in the state. However, they may not wind up ranking high on homes sold this year in New Jersey. This list was complied from data as recent as September 2023 using data compiled for Slacker.com.

When Carl is not working at the greatest rock radio station known to mankind; a station known around the globe; a station that has the best music, co-workers, advertisers and most importantly THE BEST F'N LISTENERS you may find me doing any one of the following: Riding or making mountain bike trails. playing with his kids. playing sand volleyball on 5th Ave, cooking amazing food, including on his sweet smoker grill, going to concerts, swimming in the ocean, going to amusement parks with his kids, and other stuff that rocks!
