This is the second annual Half Way To St Patty's Day Party put on by Mac's Pub, formerly known as McIntyre's Pub for years. I wrote about the change in name and remodel of the establishment last year. Last year's bash was a huge success, and there is no reason to think this year's wont be a smash hit again. The event is rain or shine, with the party happening inside Macs Pub located in the Anchorage Plaza at 1747 Hooper Avenue in the Silverton section of Toms River, as well as outside, where a huge tent will be erected so folks can take advantage of the warm late summer weather.
Live Irish Music!
There will be live entertainment with bagpipers throughout the day. Also, the fabulous Irish group Ballyhaunis will perform live beginning at 12:30 pm.
The music continues later in the day when another fantastic band takes the Macs Pub stage for their Half Way To St Patty's Day Party. The band Slap Happy will begin performing live at 4 pm and go into the evening.

In addition to outstanding live music, Mac's Pub will be serving up what they are known best for awesome drinks, and the best food in Silverton! Since new owners Pat and Genesia have taken over the menu has expanded by leaps and bounds.
Sure, you can still get the good old pub burger or Mac's famous mussels, but now they have some new and delicious additions to the menu you have to check out if you go to the Half Way To St Patty's Day Party. Of course, if you are looking for traditional Irish fare, that will definitely be available as well. From the recently returning to the menu Irish Nachos, to staples like the Irish Egg Rolls, Corned Beef and Cabbage, and my favorite, Mac's delicious Sheppard's Pie! Wash it all down with a pint or 5 of Guinness, and you are set!
It promises to be a fun day of dancing, drinking, and wearin' O' the green at Macs Pub In Toms River on Saturday, September 15th, beginning at 12 noon!

Since its launch, all profits have gone to the Stephen Colbert AmeriCone Dream Fund, which benefits a number of charities assisting veterans, children in need, environmental causes and more. So far, this flavor has raised over $4 million for charity.
Ron Burgundy

This flavor was a limited release to coincide with the release of ‘Anchorman 2.’ And no, the ice cream didn’t taste like Burgundy’s favorite spirit; it was a butterscotch ice cream with ribbons of butterscotch swirl.

When it was released in 2008, the flavor was described as “an outrageous symphony of decadent chocolate ice cream, peanut butter cookie dough, butter brickle and white chocolate chunks.” Like with many celebrity collaborations, profits from the sale of Goodby Yellow Brickle Road went to charity. In this instance, the profits went to the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

On sale from 2006-2008, Vermonty Python is one of many flavors that rests in the Ben & Jerry’s Flavor Graveyard, with its epitaph noting its flavor profile being “Coffee liqueur ice cream with chocolate cookie crumb swirl & fudge cows.”
John Lennon

The flavor has a caramel and sweet cream ice cream base with toffee cookie pieces and chunks of fudge in the shape of peach signs. Sales of Imagine Whirled Peace benefitted Peace One Day, a non-profit organization that aims to spread peace around the world.
Queen

As the name would suggest, the vanilla based ice cream features a raspberry swirl and fudge brownie chunks.
