It’s Davey Mac here and I’ve got your Monday edition of the Sports Report for ya!   Playoff action!   Yanks in the toilet!   Aaron Rodgers!   But first!

Hockey fans…we’ve got ourselves a Game 7 this evening!   The Devils face the Rangers…winner takes all!

The hockey game is another chapter in this epic battle for geographic superiority!   Yet again these two neighbors (and rivals) will embark in sport to determine who rules harder…Jersey or the Big Apple!

The series is all tied up after the Rangers won Game 6 on Saturday.   The Rangers looked good as they attained a 5 to 2 victory in Madison Square Garden.

Tonight’s game is at the Prudential Center and the crowd will be pumped!   The Jersey crew will be in the house…and it’s gonna get nuts!

  • Knicks Lost Game 1 To Heat

    Let’s start with basketball…where the Knicks lost to the Miami Heat in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals yesterday…108 to 101.   Miami’s Jimmy Butler had 25 points and 11 rebounds in the game…as the Heat go up one game to none on the Knicks.   Game 2 is Tuesday in Madison Square Garden.

  • Warriors Get Past Kings On Curry's Amazing Performance

    Other basketball from yesterday…the defending-champion Warriors stayed alive by defeating the Kings in Game 7…120 to 100.   Golden State’s Steph Curry scored 50 points in the win…the most points ever in a Game 7 in NBA playoff history.

  • Devils Vs. Rangers Tonight!

    Over to hockey…as the Devils and Rangers face off tonight for a Game 7 at the Prudential Center.   The series is all tied up after the Rangers beat the Devils on Saturday in Game 6 by the score of 5 to 2.

  • Boston Bruins Shockingly Eliminated

    Other huge hockey news is that the Boston Bruins lost Game 7 to the Florida Panthers yesterday in Overtime…4 to 3…as the Bruins are shockingly eliminated after a season in which they got 65 wins…the most in the NHL.

  • Yanks Lose Third Straight

    The Yankees had a tough weekend by losing three in a row as the Yanks were crushed by the Rangers yesterday…15 to 2.   The Yanks are just 3 and 7 in their last ten games.

  • Phils Fall To Houston

    The Phillies fell to the Astros…4 to 3.   The Phils drop to 15 and 14.

    The Mets game versus the Braves was rained out.   They have a double-header scheduled for today…the first game is at one o’clock…the second game is at four.

  • Jet Coach Saleh Welcomes Rodgers

    Jets head coach Robert Saleh spoke to the press on Saturday…and obviously gushed about new acquisition Aaron Rodgers.   Saleh said: “To get Aaron here, it’s a blessing.   We got better this week — a lot better this week.”
