Good morning, Sports fans! Davey Mac here with a plus-sized Sports Report for ya! The first weekend of Major League Baseball came and went…how did the local teams do? The Final Four is set in college basketball! NBA and NHL updates! And a Kansas City Chiefs player could be in hot water with the authorities! But first…
…Can we retire Juan Soto’s Number 22 and give him a plaque in Yankee Stadium already? My Lord…this guys is AWESOME. And that’s because the Yankees swept the Houston Astros in their opening series with yesterday’s win…Yankees 4, Astros 3…and Juan Soto was amazing. Soto picked up three more hits and drove in the tie-breaking and ultimate game-winning run in the 9th inning.

HOUSTON, TEXAS – MARCH 30: Juan Soto #22 of the New York Yankees scores in the third inning against the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park on March 30, 2024 in Houston, Texas.
In fact…Soto had an RBI in all four games. He is now batting .529 for the Yankees…as they start the season at 4 and 0 and will now take on the Diamondbacks.

HOUSTON, TEXAS – MARCH 29: Juan Soto #22 of the New York Yankees reacts after an RBI single by Oswaldo Cabrera #95 (not in photo) in the seventh inning against the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park on March 29, 2024 in Houston, Texas.
All in all…this is a phenomenal beginning to the Yankees’ 2024 MLB season. And then Soto returns to the Bronx…I want Hal Steinbrenner to have a blank check hanging in Soto’s locker. The guys is only 25 and is sensational. The Yankees need to lock him up NOW. I’m Davey Mac…now on to the rest of the Sports Report!
