Good morning, Sports freaks! It’s your Ambassador of Athletics, Davey Mac, back with another fast-moving Sports Report for ya! Subway Series! Big NFL contract! World Cup! And more! But first!
I love Baseball. I don’t care who knows it. Heck…if I could…I’d marry Baseball. Why? Because of the absolutely epic history of the game and yet, despite the sports being around for 150 years, you still see stuff on the ball field that you’ve never seen before. Ever. Last night, in the Red Sox-Braves game, we saw an 8-3-5 (centerfielder to first baseman to third baseman) triple play for just the second time in MLB history and the first time it’s happened since 1884!

(And the Red Sox have brutal baserunning)

The last time an 8-3-5 triple play happened in MLB history…was 1884 when the Boston Beaneaters turned it against the Providence Grays! The Boston Beaneaters? What a name! In any event…this kind of nutty and fun stuff is part of what makes MLB so special. Long Live Baseball! I’m Davey Mac…that’s my two cents!
