Good morning, Sports fans! Davey Mac here with another Sports Report for ya! Baseball, football, hockey…but first…The Knicks!

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – FEBRUARY 26: Jalen Duren #0 of the Detroit Pistons unsuccessfully tries to block a shot by Josh Hart #3 of the New York Knicks during the second half at Madison Square Garden on February 26, 2024 in New York City. The New York Knicks defeated the Detroit Pistons 113-111. This shot gave the New York Knicks the lead.
The Knicks won a WILD one at the Garden last night as they beat the Pistons in dramatic fashion…113 to 111. The Knicks were trailing by one point with :22 seconds to go when one of the craziest plays occurred where the ball was batted around by both teams and it looked more like a fumble in football where everyone is chasing the ball. Ultimately, the ball somehow found its way into Jalen Brunson’s hands and with two seconds on the clock he found Josh Hart who laid it up and in and was fouled and the Knicks won the game. Check this out! And listen to the Garden rockin’!
Brunson had 35 points and 12 assists and Hart added 23 points and 8 rebounds…and Donte DiVincenzo scored 21 points…making it the first time that all three of the former Villanova team-mates and now Knicks team-mates scored at least 20 points in the same game. Meanwhile, head coach Monty Williams was pretty ticked off that no foul was called on the Knicks at the end…but in all fairness…it was a scramble for the basketball with under :20 seconds in the NBA…I think a no-call was right in that situation.
Regardless…this Knicks team is super fun to watch. They have heart…competitiveness…and a sincere belief that they should win every game. And they just may have the NBA MVP in Jalen Brunson. Brunson has been absolutely remarkable all season long…but especially since All Star team-mate Julius Randle went down with a shoulder injury. Since that time, Brunson has stepped up even more and simply become one of the league’s best players.
It’s all happening, Knicks fans! Get on the bandwagon now! Because this team is going to the NBA Finals! I’m Davey Mac…now on to the rest of the Sports Report!
