Good morning, Sports fans! Davey Mac here with your first Sports Report of the week and it’s a big one! All kinds of football are in the news, including Yankee playoff hope update, and more! But first!
Holy Mackerel! Did you see the score of the Dolphins game against the Broncos?! Miami thoroughly destroyed Denver yesterday…70 to 20! SEVENTY POINTS! The most by any NFL team since 1966. But that’s not all!

The Dolphins put up an insane 726 yards of total offense…with nearly as many rushing yards (350) as passing yards (376). Tua and the gang were absolutely rolling and simply could not be stopped by Denver in any way, shape, or form.

The Dolphins are also the first team in NFL history to record five passing touchdowns and five rushing touchdowns in the same game, and just the second team in league history to get more than 700 yards of offense since the Rams did it in 1951.

Honestly…I wonder if Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel had some personal issue with Broncos head coach Sean Payton. I mean…there was no let-up by the Miami offense…they just kept dominating Denver!

But at the same time, Payton has had his fair share of controversy. He said that the Broncos’ head coach from last year, Nathaniel Hackett, did a terrible job. It is thought that Payton broke the coach’s unwritten rule of not criticizing his colleagues publicly. And maybe this is why Miami put up the 70 points.

In any event…this was one of the most impressive performances that we’ve ever seen from the Dolphins…and one of the worst performances we’ve ever seen from the Broncos. Congrats, Miami! You look like the team to beat! I’m Davey Mac…that’s my two cents!
