OK…please DO NOT shoot the messenger…this story is about…Taylor Swift and Football. Hold on! Before you throw your phone at my head…if you are a Taylor-being-shown-on-TV-at-every-Chiefs-game hater…then this story is for you! Because I think the honeymoon period is officially OVER between the all-important Swift-Kelce camp and the Mahomes camp. And here’s why!

A few old tweets from Brittany Mahomes have popped up and they show her hating on…Taylor Swift! YUH-YOH! In 2012, Brittany Tweeted this to Taylor: “I wanna know when [you’re] gonna find something different to write about besides boys and relationships.” And then the following year, Brittany posted an angry face emoji along with the phrase “Taylor Swift winning everything.”

YIKES! We know that Taylor Swift and her fans, the Swifties, do not condone any smack-talk aimed in Taylor’s direction. And, sure, the tweets are a decade old. But still…could I see Taylor developing a grudge against Brittany because of this? One can only hope! Because if that happens…we’ll stop getting Taylor and Brittany on our TV’s during the games and more Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce (two future Hall Of Famers)! I’m Davey Mac…that’s my two cents!

Broncos Beat Bills On 'MNF'
Let’s start with football…where the Broncos upset the Bills on Monday Night Football…24 to 22. Denver’s Russell Wilson threw for 193 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions…as the Broncos improve to 4 and 5. Buffalo drops to 5 and 5.

Over to basketball…where the Knicks lost to the Celtics last night…114 to 98. Boston’s Jayson Tatum had 35 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists in the game. The Knicks fall to 5 and 5.

Yanks Hire New Hitting Coach
Baseball. James Rowson was hired Monday as the Yankees’ hitting coach after a season in which New York finished with the next-to-worst batting average in the major leagues. Rowson has reportedly developed a good relationship with Aaron Judge in the minor leagues…and will be replacing Sean Casey…who will probably go back to the TV studio. Still…no word on Brian Cashman!

Lundqvist Headlines Hockey Hall Of Fame Class
The Rangers and Flyers are inactive this evening. Staying with the Rangers…former goalie Henrik Lundqvist headlined the NHL Hall Of Fame induction ceremony last night. The H.O.F. class Tom Barrasso and Mike Vernon…making it the first time three goalies been inducted together in more than 60 years. Lundqvist ranks sixth all time in wins (459), ninth in games played (887) and 17th in shutouts (64). Congrats to Henrik.
