We’ve got breaking news from the world of golf as it was shockingly announced yesterday the PGA Tour is merging with the Saudi Arabian-backed LIV Golf. Apparently PGA players were not consulted…and some players and PGA fans are not happy. PGA commissioner Jay Monahan apparently made the decision without consulting any of the players and the players are now ticked off.

Meanwhile, 9/11 Families United, a coalition of families and survivors of the 2001 terrorist attacks, said they are “shocked and deeply offended” by the PGA’s decision. They are critical of Monahan and say that he betrayed their loved ones’ memories. Many of the terrorists on 9/11 came from Saudi Arabia (who sponsors the LIV tour).

And Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods certainly got thrown under the bus as they blasted LIV players who left and stood up for the PGA tour whenever they were asked. Rory turned down $500 million to join the LIV tour…and Tiger rejected an $800 million offer! Both said it was the right thing to do to stick with the PGA. Now, apparently, they feel sold out by Monahan. Either way…this is gonna be a fascinating issue going forward! We’ll stay on top of this story!

Yanks Lose To White Sox---Announce Judge Going To I.L.
The Yankees were defeated by the White Sox last night…3 to 2. Yankee starter Clarke Schmidt wasn’t terrible but he still receives the loss and drops to 2 and 6 for the season. By the way, the Yanks also announced that captain Aaron Judge will miss about week or so…he’s still dealing with a minor foot injury after crashing through the wall in Los Angeles against the Dodgers.

Mets Beaten By Braves
The Mets fell to the Braves…6 to 4. Atlanta was down 4 to 1 in the game before they roared back. The Mets fall to 30 and 31 for the year.

Phils Shut Out Detroit
The Phillies shut out the Tigers…one to nothing. Phillies starter Taijuan Walker was fantastic as Walker threw seven scoreless innings…striking out eight…he picks up the win.

NBA Finals Resume Tonight
Tonight is Game 3 of the NBA Finals. The Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat are all tied up at one game apiece. Tip-off is 8:30 in Miami.

Damar Hamlin Back In Bills Practice
Damar Hamlin participated in his first full Buffalo Bills practice since his frightening collapse due to a cardiac arrest last January. The next step for Hamlin will be putting on pads and tackling when training camp begins. Wow.
