Patrick Mahomes Declines SNL Hosting Gig
We’re starting off with a bit of a weird story here. According to Essentially Sports, Patrick Mahomes has turned down hosting Saturday Night Live because he has a fear of teleprompters. Mahomes said he’s still scarred from giving a speech at the 2023 ESPY Awards where he had to read off of a teleprompter. Apparently, he had a hard time reading the words and froze a little…and the experience has made him afraid of those damn teleprompters!

Insane! I mean…not to be too hard on Patrick…but this guy is a three-time Super Bowl Champion and certainly on his way to becoming one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history! Come on, Patrick! You can do this!

Also, I believe Saturday Night Live still does things the old fashioned way and uses cue cards rather than a teleprompter. In any event…I’ve got an idea…Mahomes need to bring in his buddy Travis Kelce to help him out! Maybe Kelce can be the guy holding the cue cards or simply deliver the monologue himself. Just an idea. Eagles Investigated For Tampering With Saquon Barkley
Football. The NFL is opening an investigation as to whether the Eagles committed tampering violations by signing Saquon Barkley. The NFL says the investigation is ongoing and could result in a heavy punishment for Philly.

Rangers Beat Caps In Game 2
Over to the NHL Playoffs…as the Rangers got a huge win over the Capitals last night in Madison Square Garden. Final score: Rangers 4, Caps 3. Mika Zibanejad and Vincent Trochack each had a goal and an assist for the Rangers…who now go up two games to none in the series. Game 5 is Friday night in Washington D.C. The Panthers, Avalanche, and Predators all won their respective games as well.

NBA Postseason
Finally…NBA Postseason. The Timberwolves beat the Suns…105 to 93…to take a two games to none lead over Phoenix.
