Good morning, Sports fans!  Davey Mac here with a fresh Sports Report for ya! Did you guys see the Giants game yesterday?!  Aye, caramba!

New York Giants v Arizona Cardinals

The Giants had a comeback for the ages yesterday as the Giants rallied from 21 points down to the Arizona Cardinals to beat the Cards…31 to 28.  The Giants were down 20 to nothing at half-time…and then 28 to 7 in the second half…when Daniel Jones came alive.

Jones was 26 for 37 for 321 yards, 2 touchdowns, and an interception…but most of the good stuff came in the second half.  Jones also rushed for 59 yards and a TD as well… and the Giants made their biggest comeback in 99 years…you have to go back to 1924 to find a game where the G-Men were down by 21 and won.  Great game.  The Giants are now 1 and 1.

I gotta tell ya…as a Giants fan…I’m feeling dandy this morning.  No, I’m not excited that, if you factor in the brutal Cowboys game for the G-Men, the Giants were outscored in the first six quarters of the 2023 season by a score of 20 to nothing!  YIKES!

But…for this team to come back from 21 points in the second half… score 24 unanswered points…and win the game… is truly amazing! Hell, the Giants haven’t done something like this in nearly a century!  As for my confidence and belief in head coach Brian Daboll and quarterback Daniel Jones…their stock has never been higher in my eyes. Under Daboll….this team doesn’t quit.  Yeah…they got destroyed by the Cowboys last week…and they were trailing big-time in this game as well…but they found that resilience to win the game.

And, guess what?  The Giants have playmakers.  Darren Waller, Saquon Barkley, and the aforementioned Jones all played extremely well.  And when the defense came alive in the second half, they showed that they have talent as well.  At the end of the day…buckle up, Giants fans!  It’s gonna be bumpy but FUN ride this year!  I’m Davey Mac…that’s my two cents!

Meanwhile, the Jets lost to the Cowboys…30 to 10.  Gang Green just didn’t have any answers for the heralded Dallas offense…as Dak Prescott threw for 255 yards, two TD’s, and no picks…and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb had 11 catches for 143 yards.  The Cowboys improve to 2 and 0…the Jets fall to 1 and 1.
