Good morning, Sports fans!   It’s your pal Davey Mac here with the final Sports Report of the week!   And since we’re not here on President’s Day…this’ll be the last Report until Tuesday!   So we better get going!   Baseball!   Basketball!   Hockey!   Football!   We’ve got the action for ya!   But first!

I’m not trying to get ya too excited…but with football now over…we look ahead in the Sports world…and guess what?   We’re about 40-plus days until MLB Opening Day!   The Yankees open their season on March 30th, in fact, and Aaron Judge and the boys will be back!

The Yanks’ major signing in the offseason was acquiring left-handed ace Carlos Rodon from the San Francisco Giants.   This guy is really good and get this, Yankee fans…he dominated the Houston Astros.   Score.

Meanwhile, will the Mets get back to the playoffs after having a great year last year?   Pete Alonso and company look to score runs and continue to pitch well.   Don’t forget…they added Justin Verlander in the offseason!

Miami Marlins v New York Mets

The Mets manager Buck Showalter seems to have his eye on the prize.   While talking to reporters this week…Buck said that the Mets are all about winning the World Series.

And don’t look past the Phillies!   The Phils caught fire late last year…made the playoffs…and won the National League pennant!   Dangerous team!

All in all…I can’t wait for baseball to be back!   Every night or day a game!   Hot dogs!   Beer!   And fun!   I’m Davey Mac…play ball!

  • Carr Released By Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders have released Pro Bowl quarterback Derek Carr after Carr declined to waive his no-trade clause and just before more than $40 million of his contract would have become guaranteed.   Carr hits the open market on March 15th…could he be a guy the Jets could look at if they don’t get Aaron Rodgers?   It would make sense!
