Good morning, Sports people! If you like the baseball, the basketball, the football, the hockey, and more…then this is the place for you! It’s our daily Sports Report and it’s action-packed! But first!
Did you see what happened yesterday in the Mets game? They were in L.A. playing the Dodgers when the umpires starting questioning Max Scherzer about possible foreign substances on his hand and glove.

Umpire Phil Cuzzi said that he gave Scherzer a chance to wash his hands in the second inning…and Scherzer stated that’s what he did. But Cuzzi apparently felt that it was not good enough. When Scherzer’s glove still felt “sticky” to Cuzzi in the 4th inning…he was instantly ejected from the game.

Scherzer, however, was adamant that it was just rosin on his hand and glove. Rosin, of course, is legal in the MLB so that pitchers can get a better grip on the ball. Scherzer even told the press afterwards that he swore on the life of his kids to the umps that he wasn’t using anything illegal on his hands!
Scherzer now faces an automatic ten-game suspension. He and the Mets can appeal the decision if they so choose. Either way…what a crazy outing for Max!

Yanks Beat Angles In Extra Innings
The Yankees beat the Angels in extra innings…3 to 2. Aaron Judge slugged his 6th home run of the year…and Gleyber Torres knocked in the game-winning run with a sac fly in the 10th…as the Yankees improve to 11 and 7.

Mets Take Down Dodgers
The Mets defeated the Dodgers despite some controversy…Mets 5, Dodgers 3. Met starter Max Scherzer was ejected in the 4th inning for having a foreign substance on his glove.

Phils Get Past White Sox
The Phillies took down the White Sox…5 to 2. Trea Turner and Brandon Marsh each homered in the game.

Tua Considered Retirement
