The Knicks vs 76ers
Let’s start with the NBA Postseason…where the New York Knicks beat the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 1 of their First Round series…111 to 104. Josh Hart had 22 points and 13 rebounds as Hart is becoming a clutch player and star in New York. Interesting fun fact about Hart, too…his great-uncle is legendary Yankee catcher Elston Howard.

Meanwhile, Miles “Deuce” McBride was big-time when the Knicks really needed it…scoring 21 points off the bench. With three-time All Star Julius Randle out for the fest of the season due to injury…the Knicks’ have needed to replace Randle’s 26 points per game. Deuce has really stepped up and contributed offensively.

We gotta give Philadelphia 76ers big man and the reigning NBA MVP Joel Embiid some credit as well. Embiid is still coming back from a serious injury but he had 29 points for Philly in the loss.

The Knicks take a one-game-to-none lead over Joel Embiid (who had 29 points) and the Sixers. Game 2 is tonight in Madison Square Garden. Tipoff is at 7:30 PM. Can’t wait!

Rangers Beat Caps
Hockey Playoffs. The Rangers got past the Capitals…4 to 1…to take a one game to none lead in that series. Jimmy Vesey had a goal in the game. Game 2 is Tuesday.

Over to baseball…where ethe Yankees defeated the Rays yesterday…5 to 4…as the Yanks take two outta three against Tampa. Yankee outfielder Alex Verdugo had 3 hits and 2 RBI for the Yanks in the win.

Zach Wilson Skips Workouts With The Jets
Finally, football. Jets quarterback Zach Wilson is skipping voluntary workouts as he is basically in limbo with the team. with the NFL draft approaching next week. Wilson was granted permission by the Jets to speak to teams about a potential trade. General manager Joe Douglas stated Friday about a possible trade with Wilson: “There’s just no news to report on that.”
