Good morning, Sports fans!  Davey Mac here and we’ve got an action-packed Sports Report for ya!  All kinds of football in the Report today…plus MLB schedule…and an NBA story…but first!  Did you hear what Jets legend Joe Namath just said?

Buffalo Bills v New York Jets

Namath said in an interview yesterday that he’s “seen enough” of Jets quarterback Zach Wilson.  Namath said Wilson’s play has been disgusting and that, while he may have a good arm, Namath doesn’t believe in Wilson’s decision-making…and doesn’t think the team believes in him either.  He also said he would fire head coach Robert Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas.  BAM!  Broadway Joe coming in hot!

Meanwhile, Jets head coach Robert Saleh STILL says that he’s sticking with Zach.  WHY?!  What have you possibly seen in Wilson’s first three games if not first three YEARS that has led you to believe that this guy can win big in the NFL?  He can’t.  His reads of the progressions and seeing a defense are atrocious.  The guy just makes bad decisions constantly.

And what about Jets general manager Joe Douglas?  Just like Namath said, doesn’t Douglas have plenty of blood on his hands?  Why did Douglas keep Wilson and not Mike White to back up Aaron Rodgers?  And after Wilson lost the locker room last season…why is he even on the team?!

The bottom line is that Broadway Joe is right.  Wilson has to go.  ASAP.  And Douglas needs to land a capable veteran quarterback or he needs to go, too.  And if Saleh can’t get this team into the playoffs…send him packing as well.  Sorry…but things need to change with Gang Green before this becomes yet another lost season for Jets Faithful.  It’s time to do SOMETHING, Jets!  Listen to Mr. Namath!  I’m Davey Mac…that’s my two cents!
