If you didn’t hear about it…the Golden State Warriors long-time enforcer and team leader Draymond Green (winner of four NBA Championships) punched his teammate, young shooting guard, and rising star Jordan Poole, in the face last week.
Initially, the reports made it sound like Green and Poole were simply engaged in typical teammate stuff that sometimes happens in practice. A little smack talk. Some pushing and shoving. No big deal.
Except…TMZ uncovered footage of the practice where Green and Poole got into it…and it is way more serious than the Warriors are letting one.
I mean, I can understand why Golden State wanted to keep quiet. Along with Steph Curry…Draymond is considered one of the true leaders of the Warriors. While Steph and Clay Thompson and Poole score the buckets…Draymond does the dirty work…tough defense, good rebounding, and making hustle plays.
He’s also a guy known to get into a teammate’s face if he thinks that player isn’t performing up to Warriors standards…which have gotten Green and his teammates four NBA titles in the past seven years. Say what you will…this team and Green have had phenomenal success.
Still…you can’t punch a teammate like THIS. Check out the footage below and WARNING…it’s kinda graphic!
Green has taken a leave of absence and in the meantime…we’ll see what happens when he returns. Wow. Scroll down for the video.
