NBA Recap--Knicks Make A Trade
We start with basketball…where the short-handed Knicks lost to the Mavericks last night…122 to 108. Dallas’ Luka Doncic scored 39 points. The Knicks were without Jalen Brunson who is dealing with an ankle sprain…and also Julius Randle and OG Anunoby are still out. So, the Knicks fall to 33 and 19.

The Nets fell to the Cavs…118 to 95.
The 76’ers were inactive. They take on the Hawks tonight in Philly.
Back to the Knicks as they made a big trade yesterday. The Knicks acquired Bojan Bogdanovic and Alec Burks from the Detroit Pistons in exchange for guards Evan Fournier, Quentin Grimes, Malachi Flynn and Ryan Arcidiacono and two second-round picks. Good trade for the Knicks!

Devils Lose To Calgary
The Devils lost to the Flames…5 to 3. The Devils drop to 25-21-3 for the season.

The Flyers beat the Jets…4 to 1. The Flyers improve to 27-19-6 on the year.
The Rangers were off. They face the Blackhawks tonight in Chicago. The Rangers are 32-16-3.

Bo Jackson Wins Court Case
Former baseball and football star Bo Jackson has won a $21 million verdict in his civil case against his niece and nephew for attempting to blackmail him. The lawsuit stated that Bo Jackson’s relatives tried to extort $20 million from him through harassment and intimidation. Glad Bo won the case.

Lamar Jackson Wins MVP
Football. Lamar Jackson was named the NFL MVP yesterday for the second time in his great career. At 27 years of age, Jackson is now the youngest two-time NFL MVP ever.

Super Bowl Poll
According to a poll of over 10,000 adults, 39% don’t know who will win. A hopeful 35% say Chiefs, and 26% say 49ers. As for me? The Dave Man is going with the Chiefs…31 to 30!
