The Morning Rat Race

Good morning, Sports fans!  Davey Mac back with a rather exciting Sports Report for ya!  Baseball playoffs!  Basketball news!  Hockey returning!  Football!  And more!  But first…

…So the New York Yankees’ terribly disappointing season is over.  The Yankees finish the season at 82 and 80…not anywhere near the record they were supposed to have.  They also finished fourth in the American League East…by a horrible nineteen games!  And who’s to blame?  I’ll tell ya who…general manager Brian Cashman!  THAT’S who!

Aaron Judge Press Conference

I’m sorry but enough is enough.  Under Cashman’s watch, the Yankees have failed to even make it to the World Series since 2009.  Awful.  And then there are the atrocious trades/acquisitions: Joey Gallo, Josh Donaldson, Aaron Hicks.  All busts.  Meanwhile, Cash failed to get superstars Bryce Harper, Manny Machado, and other proper big-time players who would have fit the Yanks perfectly.

Honestly…Yankees principal owner Hal Steinbrenner needs to fire Cashman ASAP.  Sorry…but this should not be a slow decision.  Hal says that the Yankees are hiring an independent party to conduct an investigation into why the Yankees failed so badly this year.  Well, you can save your bucks and listen to me, Hal…it’s Cashman’s fault!  He built this inept roster!  And he needs to go!  Or the fans will turn!  Trust me!  I’m Davey Mac…that’s my two cents!

  • Giants Destroyed By Seattle On 'MNF'

The Giants looked awful on Monday Night Football as the G-Men were dominated by the Seahawks…24 to 3.  Daniel Jones just committed too many turnovers…while Jones was 27 for 34…he also had two picks, one which was a Pick 6, and a fumble.  No good.  The Giants continue to struggle whenever Saquon Barkley is not on the field as Saquon missed the game due to injury last night.  The G-Men fall to 1 and 3 for the season.  Seattle improves to 3 and 1.

  • Harden Still Feuding With Sixers

The NBA season is quickly approaching (October 18th) and we still have drama between James Harden the 76’ers front office.  Harden has yet to be traded though he says he’ll never play for G.M. Daryl Morey again and so Harden missed Sixers Media Day yesterday.  Morey did address the issue: “He’s not here today. He continues to seek a trade, and we’re working with his representation to resolve that in the best way for the 76ers and, hopefully, all parties.”
