Devil goalie Akira Schmid was incredible as he had 31 saves to pick up the huge shutout victory. What a performance from the young player who came into the season as the third-string goalie.

Mike McLeod and Erik Haula were among the Devils who scored…as Jersey now advances to the face the Carolina Hurricanes in the next series…the Rangers are eliminated in disappointing fashion.

Knicks Vs. Heat For Game 2 Tonight!
It’s a HUGE Game 2 tonight for the Knicks as they take on the Heat at 7:30. The Knicks trail the Heat one game to none…and with this game being in Madison Square Garden…the Knicks cannot go down 0-2 and then head to Miami.

Other NBA playoff scores from last night…the 76’ers defeated the Celtics…119 to 115…and the Sixers did so without their star center Joel Embiid. Philly’s James Harden picked up the slack as he had a monster game…45 points, 6 assists, and 2 steals…as the Sixers go up one game to none.

The Nuggets got past the Suns…97 to 87. Denver now goes up one game to none.

Yanks Lose Again---Judge To IL
The Yankees lost their fourth in a row last night as the Yanks fell to the Guardians…3 to 2. The Yanks have dropped to 15 and 15. Worse…the Yankees announced that captain Aaron Judge has been placed on the I.L. with a hip sprain. He should be back in two weeks.

The Jets have signed offensive tackle Billy Turner. Turner actually blocked for Aaron Rodgers from 2019 to 2021 with the Green Bay Packers.
