Did you happen to see the final round of the PGA Championship yesterday? One of pro golf’s four majors had an absolutely magical moment when club pro Michael Block put on a show!
The club pro played a tremendous tournament…finishing at one over par…tied for 15th overall. And on the 15th hole…Block aced it!

The amazing shot was the only hole-in-one in the entire tournament. His playing partner for the final round, Rory McIlroy, event went crazy and gave Block a big hug as the moment was fantastic.

In truth, Block captured the hearts of the golfing world this past weekend. And while Block jokingly said he “can retire”…he has more big-time golfing to do. In playing so well, Block has earned an opportunity to play at next year’s PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky.

Yankees Defeat Reds
The Yankees beat the Reds yesterday…4 to 1…behind solid pitching from Luis Severino…who returned from injury…and the Yankee bullpen. Gleyber Torres and Harrison Bader each homered as the Yankees have won 8 of their last ten games and are climbing up the standings…the Yanks are 5.5 games behind the Rays for first in the A.L. East.

Mets Sweep Cleveland In Doubleheader
Meanwhile, the Mets swept a doubleheader with the Guardians yesterday…as the Mets won Game 1…5 to 4…the big hit being a go-ahead home run from Starling Marte.

Yanks Designate Hicks For Assignment
Back to the Yankees for a second…well, Yankee fans got the news they were looking for over the weekend as outfielder Aaron Hicks has been released from his contract. The Yankees will have to eat the last two years of his deal (around 30 million)…but it’s well worth it! Time to turn the page!

NFL Legend Jim Brown Dies
Jim Brown, one of the greatest professional and college football players of all time, has died. He was 87. Jim played nine years in the NFL, from 1957 to 1965, all with the Browns. He won eight league rushing titles and three MVP awards. He NEVER missed a game due to injury.

Brooks Koepka Wins PGA Championship
Finally…one of Golf’s four majors…the PGA Championship…was won by Brooks Koepka yesterday with a score of 8 under par. It is Koepka’s 3rd PGA Championship and 5th Major win in his career.
