Let’s start with football…where the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49’ers in Overtime in Super Bowl 58 last night…25 to 22…to win back-to-back championships. Fantastic game. Patrick Mahomes threw for 333 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception…he also rushed for 66 yards…as Mahomes was named Super Bowl MVP…becoming just the third player to do so (joining Tom Brady and Joe Montana).

Travis Kelce caught nine passes for 93 yards…as he continued his postseason dominance. Meanwhile, Andy Reid has won his 3rd Super Bowl ring as a head coach…as Reid is quickly becoming one of the greatest coaches in NFL history.

Brock Purdy and the 49’ers did not play poorly. In fact, they took it to the Chiefs. Purdy threw for 255 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions. And running back Christian McCaffrey had a great game…running for 80 yards on 22 carries and also receiving for 80 yards and a touchdown.

But at the end of the day…it was all about Mahomes and the Chiefs. It is their third Super Bowl win in five years…officially making them a dynasty. Congrats to the Chiefs! What a season!

The Knicks, Nets, and 76’ers were all inactive yesterday. Tonight the Knicks take on the Rockets in Houston. The Knicks are 33 and 20…4th in the Eastern Conference.

Hockey Tonight
The Devils, Rangers, and Flyers were all off yesterday. This evening the Devils face the Kraken at the Prudential Center. The Devils are 25-21-4 on the season.

Former Mets GM Gets Suspended
Former Mets general manager Billy Eppler was suspended by Major League Baseball for the 2024 season (postseason included) for apparently falsifying injuries in order to open up roster spots. Commissioner Rob Manfred made the judgement.
