Good morning, Sports fans! Davey Mac back with another big-time Sports Report for ya this morning! Baseball, basketball, and even a little tennis! But first!
Did you see what happened at the Yankee game last night? A beloved cameraman for the YES Network and SNY was it by an errant throw from Orioles shortstop Gunnar Henderson and it looked bad. The video is below if you need more context.

Well, we found out that the cameraman who was injured is Pete Stendel…a Long Branch resident who is beloved in New York sports. Stendel has been covering both the Yankees and Mets for years and is very well-liked and well-respected by his peers.

Thankfully…it appears that Pete will be good. He was taken to a local hospital and was conscious at the time. In a moment of class, in fact, Pete raised his hand to the Yankee Stadium fans to let them know he was okay. But it was scary for a second. Glad to hear that Pete will be on the mend. Rest for now, Pete…we’ll see ya back on the field sooner than you get say “Play ball!”
