Hamburgers and cheeseburgers are true American classics. In all the years I’ve been living in New Jersey, burgers have sat comfortably on a top 5  list of most talked about foods right behind pork roll/ Taylor Ham, and disco fries.

Check out Great Places For Burgers In New Jersey Here

Everyone knows where to get a good burger. In fact, there will be several answers from anyone you ask. Certain diners I go to make great burgers, but diners aren’t always going to be my first choice.

Burger 25 on Route 37 in Toms River is near the top of my list as a favorite place to grab a burger. The hardest part is choosing which burger to order. There are so many options and different specialty burgers added every month. The do a lot of collabs with other local businesses too.

This family-owned business has been growing since opening in Toms River in 2013. They opened their original location at 1611 Route 37 in 2013, and a few years later they outgrew the space.

in 2020, they moved into the building formerly housed by Wolfie’s Delicatessen at 199 Route 37 in Toms River, complete with added seating in an outdoor space.

In 2023, Burger 25 opened a Ship Bottom location on L.B. I. and will be opening another location this Spring in a shared space with Icarus Brewing on Route 88 in Brick.

Outside of Ocean County, there’s a burger chain called, “30 Burgers.” They aren’t nearly as well-known in Ocean County as my beloved Burger 25.

30 Burgers has a similar concept. Fresh, not frozen quality burgers created with a variety of proteins toppings, and condiments.

The first 30 Burgers location at 328 Route 18, opened in East Brunswick, New Jersey, back in 2014.

I’m most familiar with the Red Bank location at 38 West Front Street. They make some pretty darn good burgers and chicken sandwiches.

What is 30 Burgers All About?

According to their website: 30 Burgers was established in January 2014 to create a destination concept rivaling any “burger joint” in the country. The focus here is certified Angus beef burgers dressed with innovative and tantalizing toppings, condiments, sauces, and anything else that tastes good on a burger! We are more than just beef, take a look at our menu for all of our chef inspired favorites.

30 Burgers most recent location opened In Freehold at 9 Village Center Drive.

Unlike Burger 25, 30 Burgers in not family owned. It’s a chain with opportunities for prospective franchisees.

They have 12 locations in New Jersey with a 13th set to open in Hillsborough soon.

Both Burger 25 and 30 Burgers offer other items such as wings, fries, shakes, and salads. 30 Burgers also offers a “Burger Of The Month.”

I’m going to list a few of my favorites from both places.

I would love to know if you have eaten at either place, and get feedback on the items you’ve enjoyed.
