Good morning, Sports fans! Davey Mac back with your final Sports Report of the week! We’ve got your matchups and scores for the NFL, NBA, NHL! But first!
As we reported yesterday on this site, Al Michaels was unexpectedly pulled from this year’s NBC playoff coverage of the NFL (in a move that surprised Michaels himself). NBC has three postseason games…and the legendary Michaels will not be broadcasting any of them.

PASADENA, CA – JANUARY 09: Play-by-Play, ‘Sunday Night Football’ & Super Bowl LII, Al Michaels speaks onstage during the NBCUniversal portion of the 2018 Winter Television Critics Association Press Tour at The Langham Huntington, Pasadena on January 9, 2018 in Pasadena, California.
So last night, on Michaels’ Thursday Night Football broadcast, the Raiders DEMOLISHED the Chargers…63 to 21. Raiders quarterback Aiden O’Connell threw for 248 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions. Meanwhile, the Chargers committed five turnovers which didn’t help. The Raiders improve to 6 and 8. The Chargers drop to 5 and 9.

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – DECEMBER 14: Defensive tackle John Jenkins #95 of the Las Vegas Raiders scores a touchdown against the Los Angeles Chargers during the third quarter at Allegiant Stadium on December 14, 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
But it was Michaels who made the headlines from last night’s contest. Apparently the iconic sportscaster decided he’s had enough and…possibly fueled by the news that he won’t be involved with the NFL playoffs…good ol’ Al decided to rip the game itself. This made Al go viral as his lines were pretty funny. Check ’em out…
Come on, NBC. You’ve got to reconsider your decision to bench Al for the NFL playoffs. Not only is the guy an actual legend…but he’s hysterical and these lines prove it! Old, angry Al Michaels is probably my favorite broadcaster right now! It’s like having your fun uncle with his Scotch on the rocks making fun of a bad football game…and it’s awesome. Al Michaels deserves better. Fix this, NBC! The man’s an icon! I’m Davey Mac…that’s my two cents! Now on to the Scoreboard!
