Good morning, Sports fans! Davey Mac here with an action-packed Sports Report for ya before the weekend! We’ve got the baseball! Big football injury! Funny Kevin Durant story! And World Cup! But first!
Well…Yankee fans…this is the news you’ve been waiting for…Aaron Judge is set to finally return to the Yankees this weekend…and could even be in the lineup tonight against Baltimore!
Judge has been on the Injured List since June 3rd after he crashed into the right field wall at Dodger Stadium in a game against L.A. He tore a ligament in his toe and has been out ever since. But the big man appears ready to play ball!
What does Judge (last year’s American League MVP) mean to the Yankees? Well, the Bronx Bombers are just 19 and 23 since Judge went out…but they are 30 and 19 this year with him in the lineup. Judge is currently batting .291 with 19 homers and 40 RBIs. They need this guy’s bat on the team in the worst way.
And let’s not forget- Judge was also named the Yankee Captain this year…so his return should serve as a morale boost as well. Anyway, I’m Davey Mac…and I’m thankful Number 99 is back!
