It’s Davey Mac here and we’ve got history-in-the-making with Aaron Judge, ladies and gentlemen!

Judge slugged two home runs last night in the Yankees’ victory over the Red Sox…bringing his home run total for the season to 57!   Insane!

That means that Aaron Judge is four home runs away from tying Roger Maris’ Yankee and American League record of 61 homers in a season.   The Yanks have 20 games to go.   Four homers to tie.   Five homers to take the record.   In twenty games.   Judge can do this!

It also means that Aaron Judge is just three home runs away from tying Babe Ruth at 60 home runs in a single season.   This would also make Aaron Judge the third Yankee to hit 60 home runs in a season…which is pretty incredible for the franchise.

What we’re witnessing, folks, is HISTORY.   Judge is also hitting .310 when the American League leader, Luis Arraez, is hitting .319.   And since he’s leading the league in homers and RBI’s…Judge has an outside shot at the triple crown!   AMAZING.

Bask in the greatness which is Aaron Judge, people!   For he is truly the Honor of the Yankees!   And that’s just my two cents!

  • Judge Hits Two Homers As Yanks Beat Sox

Aaron Judge blasted not one but TWO home runs against the Red Sox as the Yanks beat the Sox…7 to 6…and Judge is now up to fifty-seven home runs for this amazing year!   It was rare to see but even the Boston fans in Fenway Park were cheering for Judge after he hit number 57.   The Yankees (86 – 56) have twenty games left as Judge needs four home runs to tie Roger Maris…five to break Maris’ record.   It was Judge’s 10th multi-homer game of the year…only Hank Greenberg and Sammy Sosa have more with 11 each.    Judge also leads the rest of baseball by TWENTY home runs…making it the first time since 1928 that a player has 20 home runs more than the next closest player.  BABE RUTH is the last player to do that (1928).   The Yanks now lead the Blue Jays six games and the Rays by six-and-a-half games in the A.L. East.
