Good morning, Sports fans and aficionados!   Davey Mac back with a big Sports Report for ya!   Basketball, football, hockey…all in the Report!   But first things first!   Did you see Yankee manager Aaron Boone on Talkin’ Yanks recently?   He was getting a little snippy, wasn’t he!

But that wasn’t all…Boone didn’t seem very pleased with the regular newspaper folk, either!   Everyone is getting under this guy’s skin!

Is that perhaps that Boone knows he might be getting fired any day now?   Let’s be honest…Yankee General Manager Brian Cashman is the MOST to blame…but he’ll throw all of it in Boone’s direction.   Cash will set Boone up to be the scapegoat.

Meanwhile, Hal Steinbrenner is off in la-la land getting his newest fancy haircut apparently…because the Yankee owner certainly doesn’t seem to have interest in his team!   The Yankees are currently in LAST place and Hal just said he doesn’t understand why the fans are upset.   Why do you THINK, doofus?!

Hey, let’s be honest.   This year is quickly becoming a DISASTER for the Yanks.   Maybe it’s simply time to clean house.   In any event, if I’m Aaron Boone…I’m keeping my eye on Brian Cashman like Tony Soprano would be suspicious of Junior!   Smile in your face…stab you in your back!   I’m Davey Mac…that’s my two cents!

  • Yanks Lose 3rd In A Row

The Yankees lost their third straight game last night as the Yanks fell to the Angels…5 to 1.   Another game with simply no hitting…as outside of a few guys…it feels like the whole team has gone cold.   And still no Aaron Judge.   The Yankees have lost 8 of their last 10 games and, at 50 and 46, are in last place in the American League East.

  • MLB Teams Have Historic Offensive Day

Staying with baseball for a second…as Major League Baseball had a day of offense yesterday not seen in 129 years, with 12 teams scoring double-digit runs.   It was the first time since 1894 that that weird occurrence happened.

  • Collusion In The NFL?

Is there collusion going on in the NFL?   People are talking as top running backs Giants’ Saquon Barkley, the Raiders’ Josh Jacobs and the Cowboys’ Tony Pollard did not get their deals signed with their teams…and Vikings running back Dalvin Cook is still a free agent!   Some experts are wondering if the NFL owners are colluding to keep the running backs’ contracts way down and undervalued because they’re spending so much money on quarterbacks.  Weird!

  • Harden Wants Out Of Philly?

Philadelphia 76ers general manager Daryl Morey said in a recent interview that James Harden prefers “to be somewhere else”…but said that Morey would only trade Harden for a player who would keep the Sixers a a serious championship contender.   Harden reportedly wants to play for the L.A. Clippers.   Yikes…seems like Harden is never happy with where his is.

  • NHL Won't Have In-Season Tourney Like NBA

Even though it had been rumored…the NHL is not looking to add an in-season tournament like the NBA just did.   Earlier this month, NBA commissioner Adam Silver said that the NBA will have a European cup-style competition during the regular season.  Tournament games will count in the standings leading up to the championship…which will not count toward the teams’ season record.
