Good morning, Sports fans! Davey Mac here with an exciting Sports Report for ya! Baseball, basketball, hockey, and football all in the Report today! But first…excuse me for yelling…but the Dave Man is PUMPED UP, ladies and germs! And that’s because my favorite basketball, the beloved New York Knicks, have the longest win streak going on in the NBA right now! BOOM!
The Knicks won their seventh game in a row last night as they dominated the Charlotte Hornets…113 to 92. Jalen Brunson had yet another spectacular game with 32 points and 7 assists in the victory. Brunson has, quite simply, been one of the BEST point guards in the league. The guy is a winner. He makes his teammates better, gives his all each and every game, takes ove rthe fourth quarter, and consistently hits big shots in clutch situations. The guys is a team leader and great player…Jalen Brunson simply RULES.
You also gotta give some credit to Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau…who has done a really good job. Since Thibs got here…the Knicks have made the playoffs twice and are definitely looking at the postseason this year…as the team is a season-best 13 games over .500 at 30 and 17…and are looking to overtake the Philadelphia 76’ers as the #3 in the Eastern Conference.
Furthermore…since trading for defensive specialist and all-around good player OG Anunoby from the Toronto Raptors, the Knicks have the best record in the league during that 15-game period (the Knicks have gone 13 and 2). OG has fit this team like a glove and brought his extraordinary defensive prowess to the Knicks with tremendous results.
So…how far can the Knicks go? Well, they have to deal with a shoulder injury to one of their stars, Julius Randle. Randle has had another All-Star-worthy season for the Knicks and has been playing tremendously. He got hurt recently…and is said to be out for 4 to 6 weeks. But…if the Knicks can tread water during Julius’ absence…and I think they can…then this team really could do BIG things in the playoffs! Get ready, Knicks fans! We going to the NBA Finals! I’m Davey Mac…and that’s my two cents!
