Good morning, gang! Davey mac here with a fresh Sports Report for ya! And we’re getting right into it as we had all kinds of awesome NFL action over the weekend!
Starting with last night…where the Chiefs took down the Bills in another classic…27 to 24. Another back-and-forth game where there were plenty of lead changes…ultimately…after Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs scored the go-ahead touchdown in the 4th quarter…Josh Allen and the Bills worked their way down the field…but the Buffalo kicker Tyler Bass missed a 44-yard field goal that would have tied the game and that was that. Heartbreaking loss for the Bills. For Mahomes, another amazing stat for his Hall Of Fame resume…this will be his 6th straight Conference Championship game he’s in. Amazing.

That brings me to my next point. With the Boston Red Sox and Chicago Cubs both breaking their respective championship droughts…are the Bills the most cursed team in all of Sports? I mean…you’ve also had the New York Rangers break their curse in the ’90’s; the Texas Rangers wining their first World Series last year; and even the Lions are a game away from the Super Bowl. But the Bills just can’t catch a break. Four straight Super Bowl appearances in the ’90’s and yet not one win in those games. And of course, Scott Norwood: wide right.
And not to be funny here…but let’s also admit that O.J. Simpson, one of the greatest players in Bills franchise history…well…we all know the story with O.J.

And now you can add this latest run of horrible Bills luck as they just can’t make that one play or catch that one break to beat the Chiefs in the NFL Playoffs. Lions Beat Bucs
Earlier yesterday, the Lions beat the Bucs in a good one…31 to 23. Detroit QB Jared Goff threw for 287 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. As the Lions make the NFC Championship for the first time in over 30 years…just their second NFC Championship appearance in franchise history. Congrats, Lions!

Ravens Crush Houston
Meanwhile, on Saturday you had the Ravens dominating the Texans…34 to 10. Baltimore QB Lamar Jackson threw two touchdowns and ran for two touchdowns in the win.

Niners Get Past Pack
And the 49’ers took down the Packers…24 to 21. San Fran had to rally and score 10 unanswered points in the 4th quarter to get the win…but Brock Purdy did just that.

AFC Championship: Ravens Vs. Chiefs
So, the AFC Championship will be the Chiefs Vs. the Ravens in Baltimore at 3 PM (Eastern) on Sunday the 28th. The Ravens come in as the Number One seed in the AFC. Meanwhile, Mahomes is looking to grab Super Bowl ring #3. Should be a great game!

NFC Championship: Lions Vs. 49'ers
And the NFC Championship will be the Lions Vs. the 49’ers in San Francisco. The Niners are the Number One seed in the NFC and looking for Super Bowl win #5. Meanwhile, Detroit head coach Dan Campbell is trying to lead the Lions to their first Super Bowl appearance in franchise history. As Bart Scott once said: “Can’t wait!”

Nets Cut Down By Clippers
Basketball. The Nets lost to the Clippers…125 to 114. Brooklyn drops to 17 and 25 for the season.

76'ers Vs. Spurs Tonight
The Knicks and 76’ers were off. Tonight the Sixers take on the Spurs in Philly. The Sixers are 28 ad 13 and are currently 5th in the Eastern Conference.

The Knicks play tomorrow when they go against the Nets. The Knicks are 26 and 17 and, after a three-game win streak, are up to #5 in the East.
