Good morning, Sports fans! Davey Mac here with your final Sports Report of the week! We’ve got tons of scores and some news…but first!
Bad news for Major League Baseball. ESPN is reporting that this past World Series between the Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks was the least watched Series in television history. The Fall Classic only averaged 9.11 million viewers…the lowest total ever.

The question is: what is the reason for this? The first thought that comes to mind is that these are two small-to-medium-sized market teams from the same geographical region, Southwest America. Also…quite frankly…there was a little bit of a lack of stars in this matchup. No Ohtani or Bryce Harper or Aaron Judge, etc.

And while Major League Baseball has done a great job at making the games faster (from nearly three hours last year to around two-and-a-half hours this year)…it seems that Baseball still struggles with a public relations problem. In my opinion, MLB must do a better job at promoting their faster-paced game and younger stars. Because the game really has improved and was way more fun to watch this year. Baseball deserves the promotion. Anyway, I’m Davey Mac…that’s my two cents! Now on to the Scoreboard!
