Good morning! Davey Mac here back with the final Sports Report of the week for ya! And it’s a big one! Scores, news, controversy! Baseball, basketball, football, and hockey! But first!
Did you see what Aaron Rodgers said? The injured superstar quarterback for the New York Jets says he’s ahead of schedule when it comes to coming back from his injury…but he says there’s still hurdles in front of him.

Rodgers is currently on the sidelines with an Achilles injury that he suffered in the very first game of the season against the Buffalo Bills. He was out after four snaps. As far as Achilles injuries go, if Rodgers did return this season, it would be the fastest any athlete came back so soon. It is supposed to be one of the longest injuries to recover from.

The question is: should the Jets seriously entertain the idea of putting Rodgers back as the starter this season? Obviously, he’s a future Hall Of Famer and massive upgrade from current QB Zach Wilson. But can Rodgers physically do it?

Head coach Robert Saleh has a tough decision to make. Even Rodgers pushing himself too hard in rehab could further injure this Achilles. But, if he says he’s healthy…who are we to argue? Still…Saleh has to be careful that Rodgers doesn’t end his own career with his eagerness to come back this year.

In any event…it should be fascinating to watch. Will Rodgers do it? It’s honestly anyone’s guess. Now on to the Scoreboard!

Phils Lose To D-Backs In Game 3 of NLCS
Let’s start with baseball…where the Phillies lost a tough one to the Diamondbacks in Game 3 of the National League Championship Series…2 to 1. Phillies closer Craig Kimbrel gave up the winning run in the bottom of the ninth. The Phillies still lead the NLCS…two games to one…with Game 4 tonight at 8 PM in Arizona.

Astros Defeat Texas In Game 4 of ALCS
Meanwhile, in Game 4 the American League Championship Series…the Houston Astros crushed the Texas Rangers…10 to 3…as that series is now tied up at two games apiece. Alex Bregman homered in the win for Houston.

Jags Get Past Saints On 'TNF'
Over to football. Where the Jacksonville Jaguars took down the New Orleans Saints on Thursday Night Football…31 to 24. The Jags’ Trevor Lawrence threw for 204 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions. The Jags improve to 5 and 2. The Saints fall to 3 and 4.

Giants Vs. Washington On Sunday
This weekend in the NFL: the Giants (1 and 5) play the Commanders (3 and 3) in MetLife Stadium. The Giants come into the game at 1 and 5. Saquon Barkley spoke to reporters yesterday and says he does not want to be traded (the trade deadline is in two weeks).

Harden Skips Sixers Practice
Basketball. James Harden is at it again. He skipped 76’ers practice for the second straight day. The Sixers say it’s for a personal reason…but Harden has said he doesn’t want to play with the Sixers as long as GM Dayrl Morey is in charge.
