Good morning, Sports fans! It’s Davey Mac here…a true lover of Sports, Games, Competition, and anything else where I can point my finger and yell “LOSER!” Anyway, we’ve got the last Sports Report of the week for ya…so get ready for some action! We’ve got a Yankee divisional update! News out of the NBA! Football games this weekend! And more! But first!
According to ESPN, New York Jets superstar quarterback and future Hall Of Famer Aaron Rodgers stated yesterday that surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon in his left leg “went great.” The 39-year-old Rodgers suffered the injury four snaps into the first game of the season…breaking the hearts of Jets fans throughout the Metro area. Check out Rodgers’ post-op pic below.
This is the second statement that Aaron Rodgers has released following his crushing injury. He also posted on Instagram that he “shall rise yet again.” Take a gander at the post below.
So the big question is…do you think Aaron Rodgers will return to the Jets in 2024? Or will he retire (as some analysts are thinking)? An Achilles tear is supposed to be one of the most difficult injuries to come back from. They say that it usually takes a year for the athlete to come back to vintage form.
So do you think Rodgers will be able to do? Personally speaking…I think the answer is “yes.” I can’t imagine that Rodgers wants to go out like this…being he savior of a longtime losing franchise…and becoming the King of New York should he win that Super Bowl…the temptation of becoming a modern day Joe Namath is just too great. I expect Rodgers to return. I’m Davey Mac…and that’s my two cent.
