Now…with the New York Jets making a number of moves…including most notable acquiring star quarterback and future Hall Of Famer Aaron Rodgers…things are looking excellent for head coach Robert Saleh and company. They’ve got a top notch defense, fantastic receivers, and great running game, and an all-time QB. It could finally be Super Bowl time for the Jets!

Meanwhile, the Giants are back after a surprisingly great season last year when they made the playoffs and even won a playoff game over the Minnesota Vikings. The G-Men re-signed quarterback Daniel Jones and star running back Saquon Barkley…they strengthened their defense…and Brian Daboll is one of the best coaches in the league.

Lions Beat Chiefs
The NFL season kicked off last night in Kansas City…and the Lions went in and upset the Chiefs…21 to 20. We thought Detroit was gonna be pretty good this year…and this further backed it up. Kansas City had too many drops and not enough explosive plays with tight end Travis Kelce injured and out of the game…and Patrick Mahomes just couldn’t find enough weapons. Meanwhile, Lions QB Jared Goff threw for 253 yards and a touchdown. Great to see football back, baby!

Yanks Lose To Tigers
The Yankees fell to the Tigers last night…10 to 3…as the Yanks’ five-game win streak was snapped. Carlos Rodon receives the loss. The Yankees drop to 70 and 70 for the season.

Team USA plays Germany tonight in the semifinals of the FIBA World Cup basketball tournament. The two teams have previously played this year and the U.S. had to rally back just to beat Germany. Should be a good rematch.
