It’s Davey Mac here back with another action-packed Sports Report for ya!   We’ve got the baseball, the basketball, and the football!   But first!   We’ve got an open letter to the New York Yankees’ owner Hal Steinbrenner:

Mr. Steinbrenner, please sell the team as soon as possible.   Sorry, little buddy, but you simply don’t have it.   You aren’t a leader.   And you can’t relate to the fans.

Hal recently stated that he doesn’t understand why Yankee fans are so angry at the team and organization.   Well, I’ve got some numbers for you, Hal.   See if you can understand them.   The Yankees are 2 and 8 in their last ten games…and they are now in LAST place in the American League East.   LAST PLACE, Hal!   You understand THAT?!

This is simply NOT something your father, George Steinbrenner, would have stood for.   My God, why hasn’t general manager Brian Cashman been fired yet?!   Why does manager Aaron Boone still have a job?!   Why are the players not being held accountable by being shipped out of New York?!   George would not stand for this, Hal!

In conclusion…Hal…you seem like a nice guy…but you are no Baseball Man.   You’ve let Cashman run amok…you haven’t spent money wisely…and you’re now not listening to your fanbase.   Sell.   The.   Team.   I’m Davey Mac…that’s my two cents.
